What is cerumen?
Earwax (cerumen) is a naturally-occurring product of the ear canal.
Why are these important?
Earwax works to self-clean your inner ears, by lubricating the ear canal and forming a waxy build-up, that protects the eardrums and forces bacteria, dirt, and dust out of the ear.
Is cerumen removal right for me?
If you answer “Yes” to either of these questions, you may be a candidate for cerumen removal. Schedule a consultation

- Have you had any problems or malfunctions with your hearing aids?
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use standard cotton swabs (Q-Tips) to clear the cerumen in my ear?
No. It is very important not to use Q-tips or any cotton swabs to try and remove your own ear wax, because the swabs can push the wax further into the ear canal, making extraction more difficult or cause damage to the eardrum.
